La place du camp et le logement

Le camp aura lieu à Somero en Finlande sud-ouest. Somero se trouve 105 km de Helsinki, 86 km de Turku, et 125 km de Tampere.

Les campeurs vont se loger en Lamminniemi Centre de Bien-être. environ 1 km du centre de Somero. Là-bas il y a chambres doubles avec les salles de bains. Les installations de Lamminniemi comprisent la salle a manger, la salle de fêtes, la salle de physiques, le sauna avec la piscine etc.

La date du camp et le nombre de campeurs

Le temps du camp est 1.7.2010 - 10.7.2010. Somero fête d'été tombe en même temps.

Dans le camp il y aura place pour 20 jeunes.

Les rèalisateurs et responsables du camp

Le camp sera realisé par Lions International District multiple 107 A avec LC Somero et LC Somero/Paratiisi.

Le camp est placée sous le haut patronnage du ministre de la culture M. Stefan Wallin.

Le thème du camp

Le thème du camp est "Culture dans la Campagne". Notre but est de raconter aux jeunes internationaux que en Finlande à la campagne vivent les hommes qui sont actives aussi bien en agriculture, industrie et affaires que en arts variés comme la musique, le théâtre, les beaux-arts et les travaux manuels. D'un autre côté nous voulons montrer aux campeurs la belle nature et l'archipel de sud-ouest Finlande et à la fois présenter la plus vieille histoire de Finlande à Turku, la plus ancienne ville en Finlande.

MD 107 FINLAND - YOUTH CAMP AND EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Year 2010

Finnish lions (MD 107) invite foreign students, born 1.7.1989 – 30.6.1994 (16 – 21 years to participate in the Youth Exchange (YE) program in Finland summer 2010. The program consists of family stay and a camp or of family stay only. The Finnish YE camps have places for about 145 campers, winter camp not included. Duration of the YE, including the camp, is about 3 weeks for the European youths and about 5 weeks for non-European youths. Family stay is mainly before camp but can be partially after camp. Finnish Lions offer also only family hosting in districts where is no camp.

The program is principally carried out on the reciprocal basis. Agreements of the numbers of the students to be sent to each direction shall be agreed mutually with the MD-YC Jari Rytkonen or with a country coordinator designated amongst the District YCEC’s in Finland. The agreements should be done by the end of November 2009.

All applications shall be done via a local Lions Club of the student wishing to apply for Finland. The applications shall be sent by a nominated District YCEC or the MD-YCEC of the country / state concerned.

All applications shall be sent to MD-YC Jari Rytkonen by the end of February 2010 (Finnish camp organizations do not handle applications) excluding winter camp. It is recommended that electronic application is used.

The applications shall be compiled by typing in English. We prefer applications to be filled in form which is widely accepted in Europe. It is available from website http://www.lions.fi/youthexchange/index.htm or from MD-YC Jari Rytkonen. In the case of the hand written forms an attached supplement with typed names and contact information shall be included or sent separately. Electrically compiled and handled applications are highly recommended. They can be sent by e-mail for a pre-acceptance.

All camps are absolutely non-alcoholic and using of narcotics is strictly forbidden.

Smoking must be informed in application form and agreed before accepting.
